    shifting problems

    I have a 1991 4.3 Mercruiser with a Alpha 1 stern drive. I am having trouble shifting. I replaced the core wire from the shift plate to the outdrive, I replaced the shift cut out switch (plate). I just can't seem to find neutral. I turn ths brass barrel and it fixes forward, but makes reverse...

    Shift interuptor switch (plate) not moving??

    My cut out switch was not working, I replaced the whole shift plate, and now when I shift it in to gear, it goes in gear but the switch does not move. I have a Mercruiser 4.3 w/ alpha 1. It doesn't make any sence to me because everything is working ( in the driveway) but the switch lever is not...
