    Will alpha drive from 470 work on boat that has 4.3 ?

    Hello, trying to help a buddy get his boat back on the water. It's a 89 Bluewater with an Alpha Gen1 that has a hole in it. I found a drive online, seller doesnt know much about it except its from a 470. Will this bolt up and are the input shafts, yoke same length? Thanks in advance!

    Pressure building while filling drive and slow drain

    Hello all. Working on a Alpha 1 gen 2. Did an impeller yesterday (3rd time) went quick. When I was filling the drive it felt like it was building pressure as the fluid reached the top screw.     Where to mount coolant expansion tank

    I have a Bayliner 2452, partial closed cooling, Mercruiser 5.7, aplha1 gen 2. I don't think any of that info matters though. I bought this boat last year with no coolant expansion tank. I am about to install one. Does it matter if it's mounted above or below the heat exchanger? Thanks in advance!
