I know this is a very old thread....But,,, People are always buying used boats, such as I did. I have an '88 Wellcraft V20 IO, with the same MC 3.7 rated at 165 HP. It struggled to get on plane quickly, and top speed was only 24 MPH. I also was only able to get just over half way to Wide Open...
