    Help with removing lower unit

    I have a 69 merc 350 electric start. I have loosened 3 bolts that hold the lower unit on but it only drops down a 1/2 or so then doesn't seem to want to move any lower? I need to replace the pump. Any help would be great!!

    Jon boat conversion to short shaft???

    I have basicly a jon boat that was originally designed to take a long shaft motor. I was wondering what you think if notching the back out to take a short shaft motor?

    Older merc 350

    Need a little help here. Got this 69ish merc 350 that runs like tits!! BUT the prop was spun, got a new one for 218.00 OUCH. NOW it seems to pop out of gear. Before it would still push water now it just like free spins????????? I see there is a "clutch" in the lower unit behind the prop. So do...
