    Hello , I have a 1973 115hp evenrude and the tilt motor works some times other times it will work if I tap on it with a screwdriver. my question is does it have brushes? and are they replaceable? or adjustable?

    My friend recently acquired a 25 hp mercury outboard with a quick silver control we are attempting to get it running to see what it may need there is no kill switch but everything else appears to be there, can we bypass the kill switch temporarily just to see if the engine runs?
