    Sounds like you have a drain alright, but...I have bought new batteries that were bad right off !!! I always check a new battery with a digital vm and it must read 12.6 or above or I dont bring it home !! We pay good money for these so if they dont like me checking before buying...to bad...

    Yes your boat is goung to go faster as it goes with the current and the gps will show that speed, but your boat is not going faster than what the gps shows!

    In southern Michigan there is a boat salvage yard called " Checker Marine" never dealt with them but from there ad, it is a big junk yard for boats. You might check there if you dont mind used parts.

    GPS uses satellite beams and the time and distance between them, current makes no difference other than your boat will actually be faster going with the current due to less drag !!!

    Ha Ha....I do a similiar thing, when perch fishing, I look for boats with sea gulls close by. Ifvthe boat is catching perch, they toss the small ones back teasing the sea gulls, if there are no sea gulls, then the perch are not biting in that area because the boat has nothing to toss...

    What size are the barbs on the fittings to motor and tank. ?? The ethenol rated hose is fine with non ethenol fuel, no need to run premium unless you just want to spend the money..

    Neither the bilge pump nor the power trim should draw any power unless they are being used !! I have seperate switches for everything like SS radio, sterio, fish finder etc so all are dead until needed.

    I would think a powered exhaust would be better than a blower. Anyway to make a 3-4" dia exhaust outlet then use a bilge blower to suck out the smoke ? By sucking out the exhaust, you will be drawing in fresh air to the surrounding areas. Just a thought......
