    OK, I am new to working on outboards and there is a lot I dont understand. I have a merc 50hp 3 cys and it starts in foward. It doesn't seem to have a nuetral or reverse gear.     Help with impeller problem.

    I have just received the pump kit for a 1984 50 HP Merc 3 cyl and the impeller seems to be a little too large for the housing. Is there anything I should know about impellers??
