    I recently bought a repair maual for a 72 mercury 3 cylinder motor, and it does not show anything about testing the stator.Does anyone know if the 3 cylinder 650 merc even has one.Any information would be much appreciated.

    72 650 3 cylinder merc, no spark

    My motor is getting no spark I was wondering if it would be the stator,switchbox,ignition coil,or distributor cap?Or possibly all the above.
