    1978 OMC 235 stern drive. stern drive stuck at down position. took apart tilt system found out tilt shaft broken. replaced tilt shaft - o rings - gasket. put everything back together. sanded down connection for solenoids and reconnected. flick tilt switch up and down still making a clicking...

    hi. i took off the tilt motor and found out that my tilt shaft is broken. i took off clutch cap and got most part out. now i'm stuck where the clutch gear (big brass one) don't slide out. and i took out the c-clip from the back end and try to push the tilt shaft out from the tilt motor area...
