    7.4 /454 Gen VI identification

The motor is a lot more HP than the 330 HP L29 Measure the bore. 4.250-4.313 is a 454. 4.470-4.500 is a 502 The pistons are not flat tops, however domed, so the compression ratio is most likely 10:1 or more

    Another MPI fogging question

the fuel pumps simply suck in the fuel and air. there may be a momentary (undetectable) lean fire of a single cylinder or two. however dont over-think it. Now if you do not get a good connection when re-connecting it up and the pump constantly draws in air. that is another issue.

Never trust a prior owner with the motor out of the boat, inspect it, and pressure test the cooling water jacket short of on a dyno stand, running on a pallet will never get a motor up to temp without a load.

    Dolphin 14 Ft Sailboat

The correct paperwork keeps you from being caught with potentially stolen boats. Nothing sad about it. The person who you were looking to get the boat from doesn't have a title, therefore doesn't legally own it in the eyes of the law

I Know What Happened But Why?

Post a pic of both the crank and flywheel. If the nut was not torqued properly, the flywheel may have been banging back and forth. Wallowing out the key seats and damaging the tapers
