    the AQ 290 series VP drive has the pins for the rams accessable only when the engine and drive are pulled (almost to the point of removing the transom shield. ) the easiest way to repair them is on the boat.

    not needed, in fact it is not recommended. the wiper will remove all grease. the rods get lubricated from the hydraulic oil. the grease will just attract dirt and take out the wiper and seal.

    there should be some hardware that goes thru that hole to keep them together thru the season. I do not miss putting in or taking out docks.

    Yesterdays's celebration of another successful celestial star orbit netted a 13 gallon fresh water tank and a transom swim shower.... will go hand in hand with the pump, fill, and a few other bits squirreled away in my parts bins will break away a bit to work on the boat.
