I own a 1994 Mariner 150 hp outboard. When I engage it in forward and increase the throttle, the gears appear to "skip" (as if there were a damaged gear tooth?). This may stop if I let up on the throttle and then increase the throttle again. There is no problem once I get to a slow cruising...
