    New tradition born at breakfast this morning, grandson asks me if I would take him for a rip down the lake again when he was done eating. I took them out in the new power and they love the hole shot and go fast down the lake. I will never refuse when the boys ask go for a morning rip down the lake.

    Oh I still do not have the boat wet yet but powered it up to check gauges and switches, starting sequence. I love the cockpit, that is what it feels like. Never owned an inboard before, and the only single screw craft I ever operated was a gas powered silverton. I like it much more than an outboard.

    Most have a map card that can be purchased for the brand you have, if your depth finder has GPS the map card is key. You may want to buy a depth finder that hooks to your trolling motor too. Humminbird with Chirp is a good unit look on line for a deal on a non current model.

    Problem is boats are made for fishing or for water sports, there have been companies that tried to make boats that were good at both and well it is never without compromises.

    My son and his buddy showed up to waterski yesterday afternoon, they both tried the big easy. My son got up with both feet in the bindings pretty easily. You defiantly want to stay in the 24-28 mph range as suggested, it gets a little sketchy at higher speeds.

    83 miles each way, yeah an accident or a snow storm can make it a 2-1/2 hour ordeal. I leave home by 5:30 leave work by 2 pm and work from home from 3:30 on, unless I travel then I lave to leave home 3-4 hours before my flight.
