    low idle on 84 yamaha

    I have an 84 yamaha enduro 40 that i use on my duck boat--the engine starts and runs great-however at times i need to navigate around some tricky spots at almost an idle--is there anything i can do to make it smoother at such low rpms? thanks this site is great

    i recently purchased a 1984 yamaha 40 h.p. enduro outboard and i have a few questions--1st what is the correct gas/oil mixture?? 2nd on the lower unit there are 4 "plugs" 2 for the lube drain/fill and 2 for a wash (apparently this was a salt water motor and i assume they are to flush any salt...
