    85 Force running bad!

    symptoms: starts ok idles but but pauses every couple seconds (missing??) anytime I try and put it in gear it dies. Runs very rough shakes the boat.     Boat wont start

    First boat I have owned so be patient... Its a Force 85 Was running OK but would lose power, now won't start The negative battery terminal gets very hot to the touch. when I engage fast idle the linkage barley moves, is this correct? Any help on where to start would be great. Thanks so much Tom
