I have a 2000 Yamaha, 115 hp pushing a Polar 1900 bayboat in SW Florida. My problem is while running at 1/2 to 3/4 throttle (3500 to 5000 rpm) for 5 to 20 minutes, I get an "overheat alarm" and my engines shuts down to idle speed (prop engaged) for 10 to 60 seconds.
I keep the throttle engaged...
