    Pulled head and look what I found

    Steering cable

    I'm trying to remove a motor from a junk boat and cannot get the steering cable off. I got the nut loose but the cable does not want to come through the tilt tube. Anyone have suggestions on how to remove it? I did not disconnect anything from the helm.Would this make a difference? It's an 86...

    Is Force that bad of a motor?

    Called a guy/dealer about trading a 70hp force for a used 50 merc and he acted like I was the antichrist.Said "nobody buy's them".

    What to do

    I just purchased an early 90"s 70hp Force.It has been sitting for about 6 yrs. The plugs were all rusty along with the starter and what looks like the electronics board.Question is what checks, replacements other than compression should I do? TIA Chris
