    Fuel cut off..

    I have a Yamaha 4 HP with forward and reverse with a built in gas tank. I can't read the model # because the paper label is worn. It is the fuel cut off that the plastic piece on the end of the shaft is broken and won't turn the valve so I have to do it by hand. How can I fix this. Mike.

    1996 Mercury, 3 Cyl, 60HP Timing.

    I have done the trouble shooting for the engine with no results. Disconnected the black/yellow wire, no spark. disconnected the 2 yellow wires from the stator, no spark. Replaced the stator with a new one, no spark. Disconnected the coil wires from the switch box and cleaned them, no spark...

    Starts up then stops!

    I have a 96 Tracker with Mercury 3 Cyl 60 HP Motor. It will start then stop after running for a few seconds about 15. Then Will not start again. I disconnected the black/yellow wire to the box but still wont start. If I let it sit a couple of days, as I did today, it will start and then stop...
