    Mercury 25XD Missing and Rough idle

    I have a 1985 Merc 25hp XD with a rough idle and seems to be missing. I rebuilt the carb and fuel pump and replaced plugs and checked coils with an ohm meter. Compression seems even at 120 top and bottom. Is the switchbox the next item? Can I check it somehow? Cant afford to start replacing...
