    carbs acting funny

    Have 84 Johnson 70 hp .. the top carb has a lot of gas coming out ,of the high speed choke valve. I don't think its normal.. :facepalm:

    idle speed issues

    On my 84 70hp Johnson.. Finished the tune- up in the order the book says . still cant get the idle to be at 700-750. Its at about 1000 in neutral . When I put it in gear in drops to about 700. If I adjust the idle screw anymore , when I put it in gear it stalls ...any Advice would be helpful...

    what happened??

    I have a 84 70 hp Johnson.. Brought it out last sat and sun ran great....Until the last ten minutes ..Stopped to fish for about twenty minutes.. Turned the engine back on, it cranked but would not start. Finally got it started with the warm up lever, but idled awful and when you put it in gear...
