    Need help with a winch replacement question...

    The winch on my trailer has stripped out. Glad we already had the boat loaded and strapped down. It's a 1800 pound winch for a 1980 Mako Center Console. I have called all over looking for a 1800 pound winch and they say they will have to order it. Will a 1500 pound winch work for this boat...
