    1988 Johnson 88 spl compression

    I went to look at a 1988 Johnson 88 spl. It hasnt run in over a year. I did a compression check and they were all btween 85 and 90 lbs. Is that low or is that normal beacuse it wasnt warm and had no gas and oil in it?

    Mercury outboard bottom cylinder wet.

    I have a 1972 mercury 80 hp outboard. I rebuilt it last year by replacing all the piston and rings. I tried to change the head gasket and exhaust gaskets but the bolts were badly oxidated. I broke one bolt on the exhaust side. Now the botton cylinder is wet all the time. Dont think its fuel...
