    Where to find Carb kit ?

    I ca not find a carb kit anywhere for my 1982 mercury 50 hp 4 cylinder 2 stroke carb # 6517A7. I really need a choke shaft as well but I think I can make a replacement of the burnt plastic end on it. Does anyone know where I can find the kit? I can't even find a part number for a kit.

    Help with year please

    50 hp 2 stroke 4 cylinder and if I am looking at the right plate the serial number is 6148789. I can find nothing to tell me what year it is. I was an idiot and burnt up the choke plastic linkage. I was told the linkage may no longer be available.

    While checking out a "new to me" 92 Johnson 25hp I noticed the butterfly goes past fully open with the throttle maxed out. (this is with the motor off) from my experience on cars this seems wrong. I adjusted it to be level (fully open) at WOT was this wrong ?
