    Merc 20 HP idles rough

    rebuilt carb thru other threads thank you all, but i cant seem to smooth it out running at idle. any ideas ???

    Sea trials today for the old feller, Rebuilt carb through other threads. She seems to idle pretty rough, cant get much response from idle mixture screw. Before i rebuilt carb i checked setting it was approx 1/2 turn out. is that any where close?

    mid 80s 20 hp merc -wont throttle up

    just picked up this unit at a g-sale, it started right up and idles like a champ. thought i made a good deal for 100 bucks. But when i put it to test on the boat it dies when i throttle up. i put the unit in a bucket to check it out and noticed a slight pop when idling down (from the exhaust)...
