    mercury 115 prop size question

    I have a 1980 mercury 115 on a 14.5 sunray runabout, has a 21p on it now and tops out at 5500rpm, 50mph, it works good with two people and a light load, any more and it bogs out of the hole. Is my motor getting weak or would a 19p prop be a better choice?

    mercury 115 lower unit

    I have a 1980 mercury 115 6cyl. that on a recent run when put in forward gear would engage but start jumping/clunking then just grinding when i increase the throttle. I'm guessing that the lower unit is gone, i drained the oil and found it milky with some filings on the magnet, No large pieces...

    Mercury 115 plug wires

    Recently bought a boat with a 1980 mercury 115 6 cyl. prevous owner had plug wires all crossed up as i found when i tried to start it (flooding, backfiring...). Do the wires run from the top coil to the top plug, second coil to second plug ect?
