    86 Blackmax 150 hp bad idling.

    Hi My Blackmax has started to shoot when idling , appr. every 4-5 second. It also hesitate a bit during acceleration, and runs a bit uneven at cruising speed. Runs fine at 3/4 to full throttle. There is no idle mix screw at the carbs. Carb clean next or? Other things I should check?

    Have bought my self a real nice 1986 -45hp classic fifty that runs real smooth. Anyone here that can tell me where the difference are between the 45 and 50 hp? Is it just the main jet in the carburator?

    2002 40 hp overheating

    This 4-stroke engine is getting overheated and the alarm sounds. Have a good water stream and the impeller is new. Thought it was the thermostat, but even with that one out ,engine gets overheated. Could a bad head-gasket course this problem? What else could this be?
