    Compatibilty between Garmin 100 and 140

    Hi all, my Garmin 100 Fishfinder gave its last breath today (screen is completely dark now). Can I simply plug a Garmin 140 into the Garmin 100 connector and use my current transducer or must I tear down my current transducer/cable and install the one that comes with the 140? Thanks.
