I have a 1996 4.3L Mercruiser. When trying to start the first time of the day, the motor fires up immediately then once the fuel that is in the carburetor burns off, it stalls. It takes a LOT of cranking to pump the fuel back up to re-fire. I've been using starting fluid to get it to restart...
