    is there a secret about pulling the flywheel on my Merc. 4.5 single cyl.? I have the 3 bolt puller on it but I am afraid to put much more force on it.

    Cannot get fire unless the throttle is almost wide open, then when put into gear it will die. Coil problem ? Will start but not unless throttle is set on fast. Will not run even out of gear with throttle set below shift.

    will it work if i use a nova 11 31-8786 solid state module on my 5hp 1956 gale engine? if so would it be a standard or a reversed polarity hook-up?

    setting flywheel to coils

    How do you put .010-.012 between the magnets on the coil and adjust to the flywheel mags then tighten the coil to the correct setting? I know there is better terminology for this but I sure don't know it. I am working on an old 3hp Johnson model JW14. Appreciate any replies.....
