    VRO fuel pump????

    The fuel pump went bad in a 85 or 88 Johnson 200hp outboard. Can the VRO system be bypassed completely and a regular fuel pump be installed?? The VRO seems to cost a lot more and from what I understand had a lot of problems.......<br /><br />Thanks,

    Spark plug wire order

    How do know which plug wire goes to which spark plug? If I suspect they're in the wrong order and I change the order and it's not right, will it hurt anything to start it to see if it runs better?<br /><br />Thanks,

    Oil

    I have a 3.0 Mercruiser and I'm changing the oil. The recommended oil is 25w 40 Quicksilver. I want to put in a synthetic oil because I heard it's better. I can't find a synthetic 25w 40. The closest I found was 20w 50. Would that be better than the regular oil (25w 40) since it's synthetic? Any...

    tapping noise in mecruiser 3.0 L engine??

    tapping noise in mecruiser 3.0 L engine?? After 3000 rpm's I hear a loud tapping noise in the engine. After bringing the rpm's down the tapping noise goes away and oil pressure gauge goes back up. Any idea what is causing this????
