    Veneering a Dashboard

    I'm making a new dashboard for my boat. I have a very wavy wood (bubinga) and I tried gluing it down with veneer glue and 10 cinder blocks for pressure but I still got rippling in the wood. Any idea how to get rid of those ripples? I don't want to buy a veneer press that costs $350. Thanks! Chris
