    driveshaft question

    I have a 96 9.9hp gamefisher from sears model #225-581998. The guy I bought it from said he tried to change the impeller but the driveshaft was stuck in the powerhead. Does anyone know if the driveshaft is supposed to come out of the powerhead on this model?

    I have a 96 9.9hp gamefisher outboard model #225-581998. according to the number it was made by force in 1996 for sears. Does anyone know if a oem force manual for the same size and year motor will work for this outboard? Sears wants 71.50 for thier manual.

    garage sale motor

    i just bought an outboard for $20 at a garage sale. there is no markings on it in the usual places except for a number stamped into the arm of the motor ount clamp. the number is RW617532. anyone know what kind of motor this is or where i can go to find out? thanks.

    62' evinrude comp. question

    I just ran did a compression test on my 62' 40 hp evinrude. Model # 35531. I understand it is supposed to be even in both and around 90 psi. I had 46 and 48. I used the pull starter, would this make a difference?

    I have a 1962 evinrude 40 hp. model #35531. The butterfly shutter in the carb only slightly moves from all the way closed to just barely open when throttle is pressed from idle to wot. I have read the manual for this motor and I think it is supposed to go all the way open at wot. Am I correct...
