I have 17'6 sunbird w/ a 90hp eninrude that needs to be replaced. Found a 115hp evinrude at a good price. The weight difference is about 65lbs. I think I saw a 110 max for hp on the boat somewhere. I think my transom is in good cond. will check out. would you put it on??
I have a 90 evinrude 1998 my mechanic says the block is cracked, Just wondering if this happens alot or just my luck. I used the best oil, let her warm up, all the norm.
Is there one thing that would crack the block.

I've been using sta bil every time I refuel But I'd like to put some seafoam in for the first run of the year to clean out. Do you think that's alright to mix the two or is this over kill.

Well I broke the bolt off in the old zink, but was able to get the old zink out of the lower end, My new zink does not have threads in it. What size bolt do I need, length I have diam.and do you just screw in to the zink and it threads itself it does have a hole throw it. Thanks :confused:
I have a 96 oceanpro 90hp I had some water in my gear oil when i winterized it. Would you change the seals yourself or have your mach. do it. I was told you have to reshim and special tools are involved . Is the job for the pros or can a dyi guy do it without causing more issues and money...
