    07 5.0GL WOT Issue

07 5.0GL 2bl carb Problem: At WOT boat will run up to 4000 rpm. If I then back off the throttle alittle the rpms will climb to 4300 and the speed increases. If I then push the accelerator to WOT the rpms drop back to 4k and the speed decreases. I've replaced the water separator so far. Boat...

    5.0GL Possible Carb issue

Boat: 2007 Caravelle 204 Motor: VolvoPenta 5.0GL When running WOT with the throttle lever in WOT position the boat will loose 2-3 mph but if I back slightly off the throttle it picks 2-3 mph back up. Could this be a float issue seems like it may not have enough fuel supply to operate at WOT...

    Prop change can you explain????

I changed my 14x17ss Vengence prop for a 13.75x19 Aluminum. I gained about 3 mph, but the rpms stayed the same. I went up in pitch, gained MPH, and the RPMs stayed the same. I was able to trim the 19 up a tad more without porpoising I thought maybe this was allowing the RPMs to go up. Why...

Hesitation at high rpm on Rochester 2bl

My first trip out after the engine swap and I noticed for the first 15 min just tooling around at 3000 rpm everything seemed good. Magic eraser is the best cleaning product on the planet

I'm beginning to think there really is magic in it. You know that nasty yellowish stain the back of your boat has if its like mine. This thing just takes it off with very little elbow grease. They are the real deal. Here is the before no after yet but imagine its all white

98 Alpha one gen 2 trim bushing

I have read there are 2 bushings on the lower trim cylinder mounted in the gimbal housing area not sure the technical term for it. I think mine are bad because I have a bit of play back there when I lift the drive by hand. So has anyone removed these and if so how did you do it?
