    i have a 77 17' mckee craft. the boat is in very good shape and very solid. i had an 83 150 evenrude on it that blew up. i now have an offer for a 90 225 johnson thats hard to pass up. is there much diff in weight and would it work on my boat. my transom is thick, solid and has a 3/8 aluminum...

    175 johnson popping at idle and shutting off.

    i have a 175 johnson that pops at idle but revs out fine and popping goes away on higher rpms. what causes this and how do i fix ?

    evinrude 150 ran hot!!!!!! please help

    motor ran hot and died while on a plain. no buzzers or alarms. left side head is brown. i have never really messed with outboards but im pretty mech inclined. where would i start and what generaly needs to be replaced or redone when this happens? i took the burnt looking head off and the pistons...
