    Volvo Penta SX-M upper compatable with DP- SM lower?

    Anyone know if the SX-M upper will work on a DP-SM ? Both were behind 5.7l engines. The SX-M upper i found is advertised as a 1.60 ratio. My DP-SM lower is a 1.95 or 7.

    Gelcoat question

    My 98 glastron gs205 is maroon colored and white. I would really like to re gelcoat the maroon with teal. Do i have to sand all the maroon off or can it be sealed and shot over with teal gelcoat?

    I have a 1998 SX Cobra and was told that i could use any DP-SM lower on my upper to make my single prop a duo prop. Does this sound right?

    Stock vortec vs EQ 180cc performance head for 383 build?

    Pros and cons? Not much porting if any to do on the raised runner eq head. Small ports should be great for volicity and fast burn chamber a + ?

    I see different vortec style heads new with different sized valves and runners. Some are advertised to out flow the stock vortec heads.     Engine question on my 98 Glastron gs205

    I'm not sure if this is the right forum to ask but here i go. I bought my 98 gs205 with out an engine and am currently looking for one. Would a 400 small block work in place of the 305 vortec that was in the boat or is the flywheel differance going to kill that idea? My drive unit is an sx cobra.
