    I am looking at a 1967 Starcraft Holiday that has a mercruiser 110 hp engine. Are these motors easy to find parts for? Are they reliable?     I am looking at purchasing a 1975 Starcraft Chieftain Hard Top Express. It has a 1975 Ford 351 233 hp Mercruiser in it with 484 original hours on it. Should I have any concernswith this motor and its age.

    Ford 302 or GM 250

    I am going to buy a Starcraft Chieftain. I am looking at one with the ford 302 V8 and one with the GM 250 (inline 6).Which is the better way to go engine wise and why? The Chieftain with the ford 302 is 24' and the one with the GM 250 is 21".

    Does anyone have any comment how a 22' Islander handles compared to a Chieftain. I have a 1971 Islander with a 140 hp 4 cylinder mercruiser. The Chieftain I am considerind buying is a 1975 with a 165 hp 6 cylinder. Thanks for the imput. MC

    Wil a 1968 pre-alpha outdrive work with a 90's 2.5 liter?l

    I have a 1968 Starcraft Holiday. I was told that the outdrive is a pre-alpha. A friend of mine has a newly rebuilt 1990's 2.5 liter GM Mercruiser that he said he would give to me. Will this newer motor work with my outdrive?

    I would like to know if anyone has converted a Starcraft Holiday from a 120 hp i/o 4 cylinder to a V6. And if so what kind of challenge is it and is it difficult? I would also like to know if there are good places to buy complete 140 mercruiser motors with an outdrive as well as V6 motors?
