    Wanting to convert my 7.5 hp short shaft into long shaft. I have the 20 inch drive shaft, shift rod and 5 inch housing extension. The water tube is unavailable. Can I extend the original short shaft water tube with some kind of flex tubing?:

    3 hp evinrude lightwin

    Just rebulit powerhead of my dads 3 hp lightwin. new rings, everything else looked good. Reassembled, very difficult to turn motor. Where did I go wrong. Just seems too tight. Anyone??
