    Plugs are black

    Hi there,<br /><br />My Johnson 6BA76A runs great now. After a short test run I found that the plugs are black and moisted. Plugs are gapped at .030" I heard that some models use a gap from .040". Could the re-gapping to .040" solve my problem?<br /><br />Thank for your reactions?<br /><br />Dennis

    idle screw?

    Johnson '76 won't idle

    Hello my Johnson (6BA76A) won't idle, runs great when i give some gas. Cleaned the carbs, got a new fuel pump I think my idle problem has got something to do with the mixture set in front of the carb(rich/lean knob). How do I adjust this setting. And... if anyone knows a setting for the carb...
