    Prop question for a 4.3l alpha 1

    I have a 19ft boat with a 4.3l alpha 1 drive and as far I know rpm at wot should be about 4400-4800. right now I have a 19inch high five stainless and at wot I go to 4600 rpm and only 37mph. Thinking about going down to a 17inch high five for a better hole shot which would bring my wot rpm up...

    Boat under powered or have a problem?

    Hi All, Just bought a 2007 Bayliner 195 with a 4.3 190hp. Put a high 5 19 inch prop on it. The boat weighs 2900lbs and with 400lbs (2 guys) in the boat I do 37mph (backed up with gps) and about 4300 rpm in smooth zero wind conditions. I drive the boat in Calgary at an elevation of 3700 feet...
