    installing a kill switch

    spark plug wires

    I need to change the plug wires on my 1960 40 hp johnson. The wires on it appear to be original and are solid core wires. All I can find for replacement are resister type wires. They are silicone type wires.(nylon/graphite) Would they be ok on this old engine? Thanks, Allen

    right height for motor

    what height should the prop shaft be in relation to the bottom of the transom? As it is set up now, the prop shaft is about three inches below the bottom of the boat. Is this too high and will it cavitate? Thanks in advance, Allen

    installing temp gauge
