    Shift cable affecting trim sender?

1988 Cobra 350....When I shift into gears sometimes it is hard to move lever forward, and when it is, the trim guage will move up and down as I attempt to shift. Burned through gelcoat while bufffing, know how to fix?

 Burned through a small part of the red gel coat, about 3 inches by 1/4 inch on a curved area of the boat. I see like black fiberglass under it. How do I fix it? Do I paint over it? I saw somewhere you can buy an disposable aerosol sprayer and spray gel coat? Any help would be appreciated.

Anyone ever use this Prop repair shop in Minnesota?

Any reviews or comments on Soderbloom would be helpful. There prices are unreal. Was quoted 45.00 for an alum 14x21 and 77.00 on a SS same size. Best I have found. They charge 10 dollars for shipping back to me. Thanks http://www.soderbloom.com/proprepair.html
