I am looking at replacing my 1990 60 hp Johnson 2 stroke with a 2001 Honda 50 hp. Does anyone know will the Johnson throttle and shifter work with the Honda? I know the wiring will be different just wondering about the shifter.

I'm looking at a 2006 boat online. I can't tell for sure what outdrive it has looks like cobra my question is was OMC in business in 2006. from what I have read is they closed in 2000

I'm looking at at tritoon with a I/O. I haven't seen it yet in person yet from what I can see is it has a OMC cobra outdrive and motor in the center toon.

My 84 mercruiser 120 carb runs good but I'm getting black soot from the exhaust
It will idle on muffs but on the lake it's bogs and dies. I've rebuilt the carb new cap rotor and points to and plugs
I don't know why the black soot and how to fix it
