    What are the correct manuals to buy

    I have a 91 Mercruiser 4.3 alpha. I am looking for a manual online but I am not sure what they include. Do I need 1 for the motor and 1 for the drive? Is there a manual that has both? Where is the best place to buy them at. I have just been looking at Amazon.

    Trim right or wrong

    So I am getting conflicting stories on how to trim my boat. Let me first start by saying that I had a 17 prop on my boat but it was hitting around 5600 RPM WOT trimmed all the way down.     1991 Merc 4.3L Intermittant stalling

    My boat will stall intermittantly and will be hard to start afterwards. Its pretty odd and usually happens in shallow water when idling. It will stall and then not start for 10 min or so.     Help with mounting to fiberglass

    The ladder on my swim platform is loose and the screws are stripped out. The swim platform if fiberglass. Can I just use some bigger screws? What is the proper way to repair this?I also want to know the best way to mount the mounts for my bimini top to the gunwale which are fiberglass as well.

    Tilt question

    I am pretty new to boating and have a question about tilt. Should I always leave it all the way down except for when loading and unloading and just use the trim when i am on the water?

    1991 Mecruiser alph drive knocking nooise

    I just bought a 91 Thompson 21.5' with a Mercruiser 4.3 Alpha and I have a bad knocking noise. Its not from the engine but it almost sounds like a rod knocking. It went away as I trimmed the boat but then cam back. The boat runs great but that noise is awful. Any ideas?????
