I have an 86ish 70hp mercury on a grumman pontoon. I just replaced the powerhead and got it all wired up my question is, on the port side of the motor ( left as you look from spark plug side.) just under all the linkages is supposed to be a bracket that is flat and a plastic piece slides on it...
