I am a novice to boating so my questions might sound dumb.but is the stern drive suppose to make a clanking noise when putting it in gear.and to add to my previous post the boat does about 5mph but when you try to go faster it does not go anywhere.
just bought the boat about a month has 150hrs on motor it goes into gear fine and shifts but put it in the water today it went into gear but when i got out of the no wake zone i tried to excellarate and the boat did not move any faster.
