    hard to steer

    i have a 1988 bayliner with a 3.0 liter engine and a cobra out drive.it is hard to steer in either direction at any speed.what could be wrong? would the whale tale add to the lower unit help?

    hard to steer

    hose on lower out drive

    i have a 87 omc 3 liter with a cobra out drive that i just bought and saw that the lower hose on the out drive is cracked in several places.it is located between the transome and out drive and is about 4 inchs round and has ribbs on it like the old radiator hoses.was going to take it to the lake...
