    1991 merc cruiser 3 liter has spark compression and gas...wont run?

    picked up a 1991 bayliner with a merc cruiser 3 liter in it has good compression has spark and it gets gas it wants to run but it wont when you turn it over it starts to fire right away but just wont stay running any help would be appreciated. Thanks
