    well here goes, yesterday ,going throgh boat check at tourny, hit kill switch, then all i could get was ONE click when i hit the key. not proud ,but dont no to much about what is going on. 1989 ,,75 hp. B371712,, FUSES ON MOTOR ARE OK,, power lead to small box below main power hook up...

    spit and sputter

    45 hp merc1987. ran out ofgas,sucked oil into thecarb, fixed that wit the help of about 6 setsof plugs. idles great, nuetral, good acceleratin,then when you load hr up she spts and sputters for minute or 2 then runslike a top, what do you think? rbass GETTHENET

    merc,has no power

    1987 merc,45 hp. serial #ob170699, starts and idles fine, it just will not get on plane .sounds as if it is running fine but when i throtle down it will not plane .have checked prop ,itapears to be fine .checked gas line ,it looks good. was running fine one day and the next day no power.
