i was given a 1971 70 hp chrysler which i was able to get running in about 5 min. It has 150# compression in each cylinder and is very clean.<br />Other than extra care and maintenance required by these motors are there any problems common to these motors that may or may not be prevented?
A friend of mine just purchased a boat with a 1981 merc 60hp. Ran it for a few hours with no problems but when we went to load it on trailer it would get about half way up and the motor stalled out several times. I checked for low gas in tank but it had plenty. Thought it was too much of incline...
